The second joint meeting of the three mathematical societies American Mathematical Society (AMS), Deutsche Mathematiker-Vereinigung (DMV) and Österreichische Mathematische Gesellschaft (ÖMG) will take place from June 16 through June 19, 2005 at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, close to Frankfurt (Main) in Germany.
We expect about 700 participants from the United States, Germany, Austria, and other countries, and this conference will be the biggest among all mathematics conferences in Germany in 2005. Six distinguished mathematicians are going to present their results in plenary lectures, and a broad spectrum of mathematical research will be covered in 30 Special Sessions.
We hereby cordially invite all mathematicians and those who are interested in mathematics to participate in the conference. The conference starts on Thursday, June 16 at 9.30 a.m. and ends on Sunday, June 19 in the late afternoon. A detailed program with the precise schedule and locations of the events will be published at the beginning of the new year.
